When you use a Tojiro knife, you’re holding in your hand the product of
more than one thousand years of evolution and quality craftsmanship.
Tojiro, from Japan, can trace their heritage all the way back to the
days of the Samurai – the ancient caste of warriors charged with
protecting the most valued members of Japanese society. These fearsome
fighters required equally fearsome weapons. Japan’s finest swordsmiths
were charged with the task of bringing to life the most legendary weapon
ever created – the samurai sword.
These days, every Tojiro knife is designed with a nod to the same
time-honoured techniques developed by Japan’s ancient craftsmen…and
such legendary knives need to stay honed!
Tojiro’s 220/1000 Whetstone is ideal for home chefs, and is a simple way to sharpen knives with minimal fuss, thanks to its combination construction. All you need to do is submerge the Whetstone in water for three minutes, and then remove it from the water. While the Whetstone is still wet, use the desired side of the stone to sharpen your knives. The blue side of the stone features a 220 level of grit for a fine grind, while the ochre side of the stone features a 1000 level of grit for a coarse grind.
Simple to use, the 220/1000 Whetstone is just the thing for your Tojiro knives.
